Livestock & wild animals on public highways

Dear Resident,

We are currently experiencing a higher-than-usual number of reports involving livestock and wild animals on rural roads around the outskirts of Saddleworth.

As a rural area with extensive moorland, animals can occasionally stray onto the public highway. We would therefore ask all road users to exercise extra caution when travelling through rural parts of Saddleworth, particularly on roads with limited visibility.

If you encounter livestock or wild animals on the road, please slow down, drive carefully, and report any immediate danger.
